I found a review of the Sugarland show at the Aviano, Italy Air Base, on March 10th, including some great pictures and a promo spot from the local news. Jennifer Nettles is quoted as saying:
“We wanted to come to Europe in general for our own career sake …,” said Ms. Nettles, ” … and then we thought while we’re over here in this area why don’t we come out and do a few armed forces shows because they’re obviously our fellow citizens in the form of soldiers (and Airmen) who are here serving and I’m sure some of them would love to see a little bit of home.” Click Here to Read the Rest of the Article

I found an article on the Sugarland show in Germany from this past weekend. It sounds like they did a great job at entertaining the troops. Good for them! Here is a snippet from the article:

Hi Everyone,
Sugarland played their first live show in Paris, France on March 10th. I understand it was a very intimate concert that consisted of about 300 fans. What an awesome opportunity to see Sugarland in such a tiny and intimate venue. Jennifer Nettles has her voice back and sounds as wonderful as ever after cancelling a couple of dates due to illness.

Sugarland in UK’s Country Music People
I think the girlfriend wondered what was going on. She was just bringing me a coffee as I was playing back the tape of my Sugarland interview, I pressed pause, out of politeness. But not before the gorgeous Jennifer Nettles had hollered in her exuberant Georgia twang, “You should see me in the bath tub or in the shower!”
Now, I admit the invitation to picture the lovely Ms. Nettles wearing nothing but soap suds was an appealing one; so much so, that at the time she said it, I almost lost the thread of the interview.
But while the Georgia Peach may have been being flirty, we hadn’t been caught talking dirty. We were actually talking French, Conversational French, to be precise. For it’s when she’s alone with her rubber duck that Jennifer gets to grips with her foreign language tapes.

Billboard.com interviewed Sugarland at the Grammy’s Red Carpet. Here is a clip of what they had to say:
Sugarland has begun writing new material, and so far, the sound is a bit different than what fans have come to expect from the country duo. “We’ve written like six songs and none of them are country songs yet,” said guitarist Kristian Bush. “It’s growing, baby! It’s growing. It’s so good,” singer Jennifer Nettles told Billboard.com.
Sugarlandmania.com was at the 2 sold out shows in Athens, Georgia and I heard 4 new songs. I am loving the sound of the new songs. Kristian Bush thanked the country community at the athens show for embracing sugarland, even though their roots were not in country music. Kristian went on to say that whatever our fans like, is country.
With the direction that the new songs there is going I can see that Sugarland is going to continue to expand their outreach and audience appeal.
