Sugarland Writing New Material for New Album
Billboard.com interviewed Sugarland at the Grammy’s Red Carpet. Here is a clip of what they had to say:
Sugarland has begun writing new material, and so far, the sound is a bit different than what fans have come to expect from the country duo. “We’ve written like six songs and none of them are country songs yet,” said guitarist Kristian Bush. “It’s growing, baby! It’s growing. It’s so good,” singer Jennifer Nettles told Billboard.com.
Sugarlandmania.com was at the 2 sold out shows in Athens, Georgia and I heard 4 new songs. I am loving the sound of the new songs. Kristian Bush thanked the country community at the athens show for embracing sugarland, even though their roots were not in country music. Kristian went on to say that whatever our fans like, is country.
With the direction that the new songs there is going I can see that Sugarland is going to continue to expand their outreach and audience appeal.
