Annie Clements Something More than Just a Bass Player

2

Hey I found a great interview with Annie Clements at Fender.com This is a great interview with a lot of info
that I did not previously know about Annie. Here is a snippet of the article:

When Fender bassist Annie Clements first received a phone call and audition invite from Kristian Bush of Sugarland back in February 2006, the only song the former member of the southern blues rock band Son of Williams had for a reference point was Jennifer Nettles’ “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” duet with Bon Jovi.

Not much of a country music listener, yet armed with a vague sense that the audition could lead to something big, Clements headed to Best Buy to pick up Sugarland’s album and figure out the three songs Bush had requested she learn.

I love your group, love your music and you have really brought alot of joy to my life,I am a Christian,Baptist preachers kid, and I believe that God uses people to enrich others lives and that you have done for me.I can tell that Jennifer Nettles knows the Lord by her smile and joy on her face.Your band is truelly blessed. The writing of Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles is beautiful and your music is a blessing about things we all feel and go thru in our lives and we feel were not alone.Thank you for making my life richer. We came to Detroit,Ford field on sat Aug 22,2009 to hear Sugarland for my birthday, and can’t wait for the opportunity to hear you again. We got a picture with the band & one with Annie Clements unexpectedly because our car was parked in the lot by your bus and grill! She was very sweet to us.Thank you for being who you are and giving us good music to listen to which encourages us.Love,Debbie Rydman
